Technical Product Designer (m/f/d) for mechanical documentation and purchase parts management

Full time, Permanent · Straubing

As part of our team, you ensure that our mechanical design and documentation files are always complete, up to date, and tailored to customer requirements, while also supporting the structured maintenance of our purchased-part data.

Your tasks

Documentation

  • You are responsible for creating the mechanical documentation
  • You revise the technical design documents
  • You incorporate assembly changes into the SolidWorks models and technical drawings
  • You coordinate the required information with the project manager
  • You are responsible for customer-specific documentation using our in-house documentation programme
  • You check files within the documentation directory
  • You create the documentation in paper form 

Purchase Parts Management

  • You create new purchased-part records in accordance with the defined standards
  • You store 3D models in the respective item records
  • You create complete assemblies in the system
  • You link the relevant documents to the corresponding
  • You maintain and update the approval status of purchased parts
  • You incorporate product discontinuations and product changes into the relevant systems and documentation

Your profile

  • You have completed training as a technical product designer
  • You have experience in working with 3D design programmes, preferably SolidWorks
  • Professional experience in mechanical design would be desirable
  • You have very good communication skills
  • You work reliably and independently
  • You are a team player and flexible
