Working Student (m/f/d) for the Development of a “.NET API”

Part-time, Fixed-Term · Straubing

Do you want to combine theory and practice while exploring modern control technologies in the field of electromagnetic coils?

In the area of fuel and injection technology, precisely controllable electromagnetic coils play a key role, especially in fuel injection systems. The Universal Solenoid Driver (USD) card offers highly flexible control of these coils and is centrally parameterized via Ethernet.

Your profile

  • You are studying Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field
  • You have basic knowledge of power electronics and measurement technology
  • Initial experience with National Instruments TestStand and Ethernet-based systems is desirable
  • Programming skills in LabVIEW, C#, or similar languages are an advantage
  • ou have strong analytical thinking, an independent working style, and a solid technical understanding

Technical Key Features of the Universal Solenoid Driver (USD)
Flexible generation and management of current profiles
Communication and parameter configuration via Ethernet
Operation with up to three external voltage sources for controlling the device under test
Current-controlled pulse generation
Support for more than 30 current profile segments for complex injection profiles
Paging function for fast switching between two current profiles without overlap

Your tasks

  • You will familiarize yourself with the specifications and functions of the USD card
  • You will develop a .NET-based API to control the card, supported by a dedicated mentor
  • You will create comprehensive documentation of the developed programming interface
  • You will validate the system using a working application example based on the API

We offer

  • A hands-on, innovative project with direct relevance to series development in the field of injection systems
  • Access to state-of-the-art testing technology and expert technical support
  • Independent and responsible work environment
  • Opportunity to integrate the developed tools into future series testing processes
  • Flexible working hours (flextime) and working models with the option for remote work
  • Excellent working atmosphere with flat hierarchies and a first-name culture
  • Healthy work-life balance with a 38-hour work week
  • Modern office workstations and well-equipped production facilities
  • Company events and team-building activities
  • On-site cafeteria with meal subsidies
